How a photo becomes a storybook hero
From your photo we create a storybook version of your child that keeps what makes them recognisable: face shape, hair, skin tone and glasses. That one character is the reference for every illustration, so they look the same on page one and page fifteen.
Every finished picture is checked against that character. If your child looks different, or something is off like stray text or odd hands, the page is redrawn before you see it.
Which photo works best
A clear, well-lit photo of their face, looking roughly towards the camera, works best. A normal phone snapshot is fine. Avoid sunglasses, hats pulled low and group shots where their face is small. We check the photo on the first screen and tell you if another would work better.
A story book, not a photo book
A photo book is pages of your own pictures with captions. This is different: an illustrated picture book with a real story, where your child goes on an adventure in a world you choose. That might be a dinosaur valley, outer space, a royal castle or their own home town. You can still add a dedication on the first page, which is where most families put a personal message.
